Brock to speak at Canton Community Lent service

Photo by: Donated LENT SERVICE — The Rev. Beverly Brock will speak at the Canton Community Lenten Service at noon Thursday, March 20.
The Rev. Beverly Brock, director of the Canton Community Kitchen for the last three years, will preach at the Canton Community Lenten Service that will take place at noon, Thursday, March 20, at First United Methodist Church of Canton. An offering will be taken to benefit the Community Kitchen.

The Rev. Brock is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, U.S.  Prior to becoming a pastor, she was a newspaper reporter and photographer. She has a degree in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master of Divinity degree from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She is one of the founders of the Community Kitchen and is also a member of the newly combined Board of Health and Social Services of Haywood County.


The 30-minute service will be followed by a luncheon to be served in the fellowship hall of the church. All are invited.
