Improvements being made to the N.C. 209 and U.S. 23/74 interchange in Clyde will affect 14 pieces of property and cause several well-established businesses to relocate soon.

Burger King is one of those businesses and passerbys have probably noticed the restuarant’s new construction happening in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Co. and Food Lion in Clyde.

The parking lot is owned by RCG Ventures out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Erin Rabe, marketing specialist with RCG Ventures, said RCG was glad it could offer Burger King owners a nearby location after being displaced for the new road construction.

She said the new facility, which will be the newest Burger King prototype design, is scheduled for completion sometime in the first quarter of 2014. From her understanding of the project, the new 2,700-square foot building should not interrupt the traffic flow through the plaza.

“It’s my understanding that there is enough parking currently that it shouldn’t impact anything,” she said.

The current Burger King restuarant attached to the Shell station will stay open until the new facilty is completed.
