Burgwardt to demonstrate during Art After Dark
Craig Burgwardt will be demonstrating his painting techniques from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5 at Beverly Hanks on Main Street during Waynesville's Art After Dark.
Burgwardt has had an interest in art since he was a small child growing up in Nevada. His enjoyment of the outdoors is reflected in his realistic paintings. Craig moved to the Western North Carolina mountains in 2007 with his wife and daughter.
His many local images include views from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Junaluska and many other familiar locations. He paints what he experiences and likes to share the emotions of that moment through his artwork.
Burgwardt's attention to detail in his paintings helps the viewer be in that moment. He works in acrylic, oil and watercolors. He is also a wood carver and has his own graphic design business called Burgwardt designs.
He sells his images through the Mahogany House Art Gallery and Studios on Depot Street in the historic Frog Level of Waynesville.
