Burnette honored as page in Senate

Jacob Grey Burnette, a Pisgah High School student, served a page in the North Carolina Senate. He is the son of Christopher Burnette and grandson of Jean and Ulus Burnette of Canton.

Burnette was sponsored by NC Sen. Jim Davis and appointed by the Senate President Pro Tempore, Phil Berger of Rockingham County.

Statewide high school students in grades 9 to12 serve as pages when the general assembly is in session. They attend daily Senate sessions, committee meetings and assist staff members with office duties during the week they serve in the Legislature.
