The first Burning Can Beer Fest in Brevard attracted more than 30 brewers from all over the country last Saturday.

Many brewers started out in cans, while others just got their beer in a can in the last couple of weeks so they could attend the festival, including Waynesville breweries Frog Level and BearWaters.

Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard hosted the festival, which originated in Colorado. North Carolina was well represented with Catawba, Pisgah, French Broad and Asheville Brewing.

There were also breweries from Chicago, Illinois, Lexington, Kentucky, Michigan, Marietta, Georgia, Tampa, Florida, and more.
