A nonpartisan candidate issues forum will be held in the Community Room of Jackson County from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15.

Participating candidates include Hayden Rogers, the Democratic US 11th Congressional District candidate; Jim Davis and John Snow, candidates for the NC 50th District Senate seat; Mike Clampitt and Joe Sam Queen, -NC 119th District House candidates, and Marty Jones and Mark Jones,  Jackson County 4th District Commissioner seat candidates.
One representative from each sponsoring organization will comprise the forum panel and each will direct one question to each of the candidates.

The moderated event will also include several questions chosen from those submitted from attendees as they arrive.
