“Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,” a cantata for Christmas evening, will be presented by the choir of Francis Cove United Methodist Church on Monday, December 24, at 6:30 p.m. The community is invited to come to the candlelight service and remember the real meaning of Christmas.
Rev. Susan S. Giles, pastor of Francis Cove and Faith United Methodist Churches, will lead the service. Director of Music Sherri Myers directs the choir. In addition to the hymn Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, the cantata includes A Night to Remember, O Holy Night, Christ is Born, and Joy to the World.
The congregation will share in singing Silent Night by candlelight as the service ends. An offering will be received to support the important Hurricane Sandy disaster response work of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).
