First United Methodist Church of Canton hosted its bi-annual Bountiful Blessings Giveaway on Saturday, Oct. 15, during which a Bountiful Blessings Box was unveiled.

The box contains non-perishable food items as well as toiletries, paper products and baby items such as diapers and formula. The Pathfinders Sunday school class built the box as a mission outreach to the community.

The box will be checked daily. Anyone who needs something from the free pantry is welcome to take what he or she need. Anyone wishing to add to the free pantry can drop off items anytime and fill the pantry.

The box remains unlocked at all times. It is located in the church parking lot across from the church.

Over 100 individuals were assisted during the giveaway with clothing, household goods, baby items, furniture and so more. Free hot dogs, chips and drinks were provided.
