WAYNESVILLE —  Carol Anne Nylander Saykally, 72, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at MedWest-Haywood.

A native of Albany, New York, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Helen Orvis Johnson and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Nylander, who died in 2004.  Carol was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and loved spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed music, traveling, camping, and cruising on her boat.  Visit www.ongoingmemories.com/Carol.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Derrell Saykally; two daughters, Laurie Gabrielsen (Rick), of Colorado, and Dawn Brewster (Gary), of Florida; one son, Dale Nylander (Michele), of Florida; one brother, Robert Johnson (Delores), of New York; three grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Ikemeier and Nichole Hernandez; and three great- grandchildren, Alex and Greyson Ikemeier and Gabriel Hernandez.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23,  at Ewing Funeral Home in Venice, Florida.
