WAYNESVILLE — Carroll Lee Muse, 75, passed away at Haywood Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016.
He was a native of Haywood county born to the late Vance and Muriel Parris Muse. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Gordon, Richard and Lewis Muse; and his sister, Mildred Norman.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 55 years, Penny Muse; daughters; Nancy Swanger, Karen (Doug) Clark; son, Harold (Lisa) Muse; sister, Lillian Henline; grandchildren, Kimberly (Rooty) Justice, Stacy Clark, Anthony Fowler, Amber (Billy) Benhart, Matthew Poteat, Hannah Muse and Becky Clark; great-grandchildren, Kora, Lexie, Charlie, Christopher, Madison, Justin, Allie, Alexis, Aaliyah and Luther; along with several nieces and nephews.
Carroll enjoyed hunting and fishing, singing and playing guitar. Most of all, he loved his family dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Sulphur Springs Freewill Church with the Revs. Phillip Wyatt and Jerry Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
