CANTON – Carroll W. Chambers, 72, formerly of the Bethel Community, passed away  Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Ralley Oscar Chambers and Evelyn Reece Chambers Freeman.  He worked as a project manager in construction and loved fishing and being outdoors.

He is survived by a daughter, Belinda Chambers Vaughan, of Sharon, South Carolina; two sons, Mark A. Chambers, of Lexington, South Carolina, and Tim Thomasson, of Louisiana; two stepsons, Tommy Hefner, of Tennessee and Scott Crider, of Hickory; one brother, Rex Chambers; two grandchildren, Lauren Chambers and Kinley Sanborn; and two step-grandchildren, Emma Crider and Michelle Hefner.
