Loving Father, Grandfather

CANTON — Cass McGaha, Jr., 62, of Canton, passed away Oct. 15, 2012. He was born in Haywood County Dec. 6, 1949.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cass McGaha Sr. and Gladys Ledford McGaha.

Cass is survived by his special friend, Donna M. Guffey, the mother of his child, Jennifer McGaha; Bonnie Tipton, the mother of Cass McGaha III, (Tonya Hooper) and Crystal McGaha (Ted Jenkins); three sisters, Shirley Fairchild (Raymond), Hazel Keaton (Robert), and Faye Fairchild; five grandchildren, Shelby and Cassidy Jenkins,  Geneva and Alexus Stites and Dalton McGaha; his loving nephews, John and Zane Fairchild; and loving niece, Mary Sue Fairchild (Joe Gentry); other nieces and nephews, Carla (Mike), Judy Whitson (Clell), Melinda Guffey, Jane Stamey (Todd) and Jimmy Sutton.

Cass truly loved his dog, Taz.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations, with the Rev. Ben Pelham officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
