KENNEDY, ALABAMA — Catharine McIntyre Palmer, 71, of Kennedy, Alabama, passed away April 3, 2012. She was born in Sebring, Florida, Dec. 13, 1940, the daughter of Carl and Mildred McIntyre.

She worked as a secretary at Tice Elementary School, then served as an administrative assistant at Sprint for 18 years in Fort Myers, Florida. After retirement, Catharine and her husband, Jack Palmer, moved to their beloved home in the mountains of Maggie Valley. After Jack passed away in 2006, she moved to Alabama to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Keith Martin.

Catharine loved her family. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Martin, of Kennedy; son, Chuck Smith, of Fort Myers; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Catharine is one of nine children and is ...
