Celebrate blues, Beatles at the Classic Wineseller this weekend

Waynesville, NC - The Classic Wineseller welcomes Jay Brown (guitar, vocals, banjo) on Friday, August 29 at 7pm performing blues, bluegrass, folk, pop, and American roots music.

Jay Brown is a roots-orientated, one-man band from Boone, North Carolina, who has been playing guitar since the age of seven and writing songs since high school. Brown's performance repertoire contains more than 50 original songs, as well as various covers from a wide spectrum of genres.

Brown spent years traveling and playing around the U.S. absorbing its rich musical heritage, and performing with artists such as Doc Watson, Old Crow Medicine Show and Etta Baker.

Joe Cruz (piano, vocals) performs the best of the Beatles and Elton John at the Steinway piano onSaturday, August 30 at 7pm, 20 Church Street. Call 828-452-600 for dinner and music reservations.

Now a rsident of Maggie Valley, NC, Joe Cruz grew up singing in church, and later became a regular in NYC clubs. He has opened for several well-known groups during his career including Chicago, Santana, and Bonnie Raitt.


The Classic Wineseller presents local, regional, or national talent each week. The retail shop opens at 11am Tuesday through Saturday. The kitchen opens at 4pm Friday and Saturday serving small plate and tapas-style cuisine. There is a $10 per person food minimum.
