The Haywood County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for green vendors, demonstrators, and food vendors for EcoFest, a new festival that is being planned for next spring that focuses on both the region’s rich mountain heritage and the future. EcoFest is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2013, on the Haywood Community College campus.

The annual festival will feature hot new trends, such as growing and preserving your own food, while highlighting green technologies that can save money and help people become more environmentally friendly.

“We will have live entertainment, a children’s area, food vendors and plenty of experts who can help people take advantage of all healthful and money-saving lifestyle options available today,” said CeCe Hipps, Chamber president.
