The Tipping Point presents the second annual Charitable Golf Extravaganza to benefit the Clyde chapter of the Disabled American Veterans of Haywood County.

The tournament will take place at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at the Waynesville Country Club. The theme of this year's tournament is to honor those who served in the Vietnam War, which took place 50 years ago.

The cost to enter the tournament is $400 for a four-person team. Hole sponsorships are available for $100. Registration and t-time assignments will begin at Tipping Point Tavern on Main Street in Waynesville at 11 a.m.

Beverages and snacks will be provided and there will be prizes awarded for closest to the pin on all par threes and a longest drive contest. Taylor Motor Ford is also providing a chance for someone to win a new car.

There will be a buffet and after-party at Tipping Point following the tournament where winners will be announced.

The DAV, which the tournament benefits, works year-long to give back to the 9,000 veterans in Haywood County. The organization helps to fill voids that state, local and federal resources don't provide such as providing a down payment to move into a new residence, utility bills or heating fuel in the winter.
