1956 – 2012

WAYNESVILLE —  Charles Ralph Hyson, 56, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at MedWest-Haywood.

A native of Camden, New Jersey, he was the son of Yvonne Heaxt and the late Russel P. Hyson Sr.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Hyson, one brother, Russel P. Hyson Jr; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Elizabeth Heaxt; and a paternal great-grandmother who was a full-blooded Piaute Indian.  Charles was a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Jessica Bryson and Angela Hyson, of Calhoun, Georgia; a stepson, Timothy Tozer, of Fayetteville, West Virginia; two sisters, Dani Lawson of Pendleton, South Carolina, and Deborah Farmer, of Anderson, South Carolina; a brother, Michael Hyson, of Waynesville; four grandchildren, ...
