Community Chorus Christmas concert is Dec. 2

The 80 voice Junaluska-Haywood Community Chorus will bring to the community a concert filled with the joy and delights of the season at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at First United Methodist Church, on S. Haywood Street, in Waynesville. “

The performance will consist of Daniel Pinkham's Christmas Cantata,” Alfred Burt's “Carols,” sections of Robert Russell Bennett's “Carol Cantata” and John Rutter’s “I Wish you Christmas.”

The chorus director is David Traynham, with Cynthia Henderson as accompanist, along with the Signature Winds and a brass ensemble.

Everyone is invited to this free concert. Donations are accepted.

The chorus is sponsored in part by The Junaluskans and the Haywood Arts Council through a Grassroots Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency funded by the state of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts.
