A hearty holiday breakfast, family pictures with Santa, Christmas carols with singer guitarist Craig Summers along with the Presbyterian Singers and a Christmas boutique will be among the festivities at Waynesville First Presbyterian Church’s Community Christmas Cheer Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
This fun-filled family event is serving breakfast with egg casserole, pancakes, bacon, sausage, warm cinnamon apples and beverages. Donations are appreciated.
The church is located on the corner of Main and Walnut, and parking will be available in the Badcock parking lot across the street from the church. For more information about the event, call 926-3678.
First Presbyterian will also be partnering that day with the Downtown Waynesville Association, who will be having “Holly Days” on Main Street. Some of the activities include story time with Santa at The Strand at 10 a.m. and again at 11 a.m., holiday musicians on the street from noon to 3 p.m., healthy cooking demonstrations from 3 to 5 p.m. in Sunburst Market, an author event at Blue Ridge Books at 3 p.m., "Christmas, Cookies & Coffee" from 3 to 4 p.m. in Mountain Favors, a Christmas singalong with Joe Cruz at 7 p.m. in The Classic Wine Seller and the showing of a classic movie at The Strand at 7:45 p.m. In addition, watch for Santa, who will return for a special visit from 5 to 7 p.m. For more information about Holly Days, call 456-3517 or visit www.downtownwaynesville.com.
