Community firefighters visit Riverbend Elementary

Oct 23, 2012
Students at Riverbend Elementary learned about fire safety with community firefighters. Students in kindergarten through fifth grades discussed “stop, drop and roll,” planning a safe meeting place in case of a fire, trusting a fire fighter when there is an emergency, and having fire escape plans.
Firefighters brought fire trucks for the children to view as well as information to educate students about fire awareness.  Students received coloring books, stickers, crayons, tattoos, and information booklets at the end of the fire prevention activities.
