Concerned citizens of Haywood County have arranged an informational community forum to talk openly and honestly about health care.
The recent failure to abolish the Affordable Care Act has left many unanswered questions. Among the most pressing are: the proposed cutting of $800 billion from the federal commitment to Medicaid over the next decade, the dismantling of the Health Choice plan for children, the failure to expand Medicaid in North Carolina, the withdrawal of funding for the many positive aspects of the ACA and the lack of bi-partisan commitment to fix those parts of the ACA that should and can be fixed.
A panel of health care experts will answer questions and community members will speak to how their lives would be affected by the dramatic changes being proposed in the various programs.
