Congressional Candidate Vance Patterson Responds To Asheville Being Named By Forbes As #24 Place For Businesses And Careers

Patterson Says #24 Ranking Is “Great Start, But We Can Do Even Better”

MORGANTON, NC-- North Carolina 11th District Congressional Candidate Vance Patterson issued a statement today praising Asheville for being named by Forbes as the #24 city in the U.S. for businesses and careers. The top 100 list also includes 6 other North Carolina cities, and factors include everything from educational attainment to crime rates.

“Asheville's strong showing on the Forbes list is a testament to the innovation and dedication of the people of Western North Carolina. Even as our nation struggles economically, we have remained strong as an area of opportunity where people are moving from all over the country. While there is much to be thankful for here, I believe we can move even further up that list. By fostering an environment friendly to new manufacturing ventures, and actively recruiting new manufacturing and other businesses into the area, we can leverage our talented and innovative workforce to be an economic powerhouse.”

Vance Patterson is a candidate for North Carolina's 11th congressional district in the July 17th Republican primary runoff. Patterson is an entrepreneur in Morganton, NC, and has started 16 companies throughout his career, including two that have been named in “INC. 500 fastest growing companies in America.”
