Conservatives unite on April 15

Apr 07, 2014

Conservatives in Haywood County will gather at the USDA Agricultural Extension Agency on Raccoon Road at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, to meet candidates that want to serve the community.

All are invited to share ideas with candidates and eat a bowl of chili. Speakers will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Conservatives agree on two things – taxes are a necessary evil, and "we are 'taxed enough already,'" said Wayne Wyles, event organizer, "and the wasteful spending must be eliminated."

Conservatives support a “Debt Free Future” because it is only fair and right to pay the debt we have incurred so future generations are not stuck with our bills, he said.

Share ideas with Michele Presnell, N.C. House of Representatives and other candidates from all parties (Democrat, Republican, Libertarian,Tea and unaffiliated). Representatives will have booths with information for every race from the U.S. Senate, N.C. state legislature and the Haywood County Commissioners. All candidates running for office are invited to attend. Candidates facing a primary race will be given priority to speak.
