Corn maize festival to be held Sept. 29
The second annual “Smokin’ BBQ & Bluegrass Festival” will be held starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Cold Mountain Corn Maize, in Canton. Proceeds benefit the Good Samaritan Clinic of Haywood County.
There will be a barbecue competition plus bluegrass performers including the Hominy Valley Boys, Ross Brothers, the Trantham Family, Wiregrass and more.
Admission for all day is $10 and includes the festival and the corn maize. The event is sponsored by Rogers Express Lube & Tire, Seasonal Produce Farm, Lowe’s, Ingles, Barkclad, and 99.9 Kiss Country. For information, call 279-6458.
