Though town halls in Canton and Clyde closed Wednesday because of the impending snow storm, maintenance crews are still hard at work in both towns.

Jason Burrell, interim town manager in Canton, said though the roads seems to be in fair shape right now, crews will be on duty all day and throughout the night.

"They will work their best clearing primary and then secondary roads," Burrell said.

There are several other workers in maintenance and water and sewer staff who will be on call throughout the storm.

Joy Garland, town administrator in Clyde, said the town's crew is also on duty.

"Our maintenance crew will be out all day and as needed through the night to handle any issues that come up," she said.
