The Classic Wineseller will feature two singer performances, Joe Cruz on piano and vocals at 7 p.m. Friday, June 14 and a jazz and dinner evening event starring the Flo Sistas at 20 Church St. in Waynesville.

Joe Cruz grew up in New York City performing original compositions and music of bands like the Beatles and Elton John. He is a highly versatile performer who has opened for Chicago, Santana, Bonnie Raitt and the Average White Band. There is a minimum $10 per person charge, which includes food, drink or retail purchases.

On June 15, the jazz and dinner event will feature the Flo Sistas, including Sheila Gordon on piano and vocals and Alice Carroll on vocals and congas.

Sheila Gordon has been playing piano and singing since she was a young girl. Earlier in her career she was the star attraction at a piano bar in Nashville, Tennessee where she held the title for ten years. Gordon moves effortlessly between musical genres like blues, jazz, gospel and popular music.

Alice Carroll is a talented art teacher, visual artist, designer, calligrapher, photographer and conga player in Knoxville. She plays congas with a number of jazz groups in the Knoxville area.

Joining the Sistas for the evening performance of “Jazz with a Tinge” is Keith Brown on percussion. The cost is $39.99 plus tax per person and includes a lavish four-course dinner from the Wineseller’s kitchen.

Keith Brown is the percussion professor and faculty chair in the jazz department at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He plays with many jazz groups in Knoxville, including Bowling, Brown, and Holloway and the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra. He has performed at jazz festivals internationally for both the University of Tennessee and private events.

The Classic Wineseller is Waynesville’s premiere retail wine and craft beer shop, a small plate restaurant, and offers an intimate live music venue, presenting local, regional, and, on occasion, national talent every Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m.

The Classic Wineseller kitchen opens at 5:30 p.m. weekend evenings serving freshly prepared small plate fare.

Seating is limited. Call 452-6000 for reservations.
