WAYNESVILLE — James Dale Cagle Jr., 47, of Hunt Estate, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at his residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late James “Fuz” Cagle Sr., who passed away in 1999. Dale was employed by Ralph Andrews Campground at Glenville Lake for 15 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, playing golf and shooting pool.
He is survived by his mother, Marie Curtis Edwards of Waynesville; his stepdad, Doug Ramsey of Maggie Valley; three sisters, Sherry Moore and her husband, Billy, of Waynesville; Terisa Knight of Canton and Marlene Ledford of Clyde; three brothers, Terry Ramsey of Waynesville, Gary Ramsey and his wife, Cindy, of Balsam and Chris Ramsey of Leicester; eight nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan 16 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Revs. Kenneth Rhinehart and Philip Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Conard, Josh Evans, Jacob Blanton, Jimmy McClure and Tony McClure, Billy Moore and Terry Ramsey. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Curtis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
