MAGGIE VALLEY — David Hillyer, 52, of Maggie Valley, passed away Feb. 23, 2013, at The Homestead, in Clyde.

He was born Jun 17, 1960, and was predeceased by his father, Willy Hillyer, and a sister, Karen Murphy. He leaves behind his mother, Shirley Hillyer, of Maggie Valley; brothers, Donald, Robert, Gary, James and Edward; sisters Kathlyne, Suzanne, Jeannette and Patricia; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on his birthday, June 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, in Maggie Valley, celebrated by Fr. Jim Cahill.
