Hazelwood staff and community members help get Hazelwood Elementary ready for students.

On Saturday, August 3rd, Hazelwood Elementary School got ready for the upcoming school year during this year's "Day of Caring".  Along with Hazelwood staff members, community members helped spruce up the school campus to prepare for students on the 1st day of school - August 21st.  Members of the Hazelwood Baptist Church, Life Church, Allen's Creek Baptist Church, and Hazelwood Presbyterian Church came to help at Hazelwood Elementary.  Mulch was spread on the playgrounds, outside windows were washed, the sidewalks were edged and cleaned, and trees were trimmed.  It was an enormous success!  The "Day of Caring" was created several years ago by area churches in an effort to provide free manpower to local schools in order to get them ready for the new school year.
