Tuscola Garden Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Bethea Welcome Center at Lake Junaluska.  A presentation will be given by club president, Betty Jo Thompson, titled, "Daylilies – as told by an Expert among Us".

Anyone visiting Thompson's beautiful home garden will  see that daylilies are her favorite flowers.  She has many varieties and cultivars of these hardy plants growing on the slopes rising behind her home, of every color, shape and size.  With a few tips, she finds these beauties are not hard to grow and they are long-lived, and bring delicate color and beauty to her yard throughout the growing season.  Every year, she adds a couple "new and improved" cultivars to her collection of traditional favorites.

For anyone who enjoys the beauty of these special blooms, Thompson has a lot to show  and a wealth of information about growing them successfully in one's own garden. Visitors are welcome.  For directions or information, call 926-6387.
