1957 – 2013

CANTON – Debra Lynn “Deb” Brookshire, 55, of Burnette Cove in the Cruso Community passed away on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Autumn Care Nursing Home.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Helen L. Brookshire of Canton and the late Jack Gentry Brookshire, who died in 2002.  She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Gwen Brookshire, who died in 2001.  She was employed with Haywood Vocational Opportunities and also was a certified nursing assistant.

In addition to her mother, Lynn is survived by a sister, Angie Stanford of Canton; four brothers, David Brookshire, Roger Brookshire and his wife, Pam; Carroll Brookshire all of Canton, Jackie Brookshire and his wife, Starla, of Waynesville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews..
