Dementia Captable-NC kickoff event is April 24
Dementia is the only disease without a cure or any successful treatment, and the disease has a significant social and financial impact on the community.
A kick-off event to introduce local stakeholders to Dementia-Capable North Carolina will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the Jackson County Department of Aging, 100 County Services Park, Slyva.
Join the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to start a conversation about ways that Region A stakeholders can support business, residents, health care providers and social service organizations and move toward becoming a Dementia Capable community.
Speakers to include representatives from the North Carolina Division of Health and Human Services, Region A Area Agency on Aging, family caregiving, and community and social services providers.
