Dems Hold Election for Sheriff

The election to nominate an individual for sheriff will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2 at the Haywood County Justice Center, 285 N. Main Street in Waynesville, in courtroom 2B.

Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m.  In case of inclement weather, the election will be held on Monday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at the Haywood County Justice Center.

The officials of the party and its affiliate groups, as specified by the N.C. Democratic Party Plan of Organization, are eligible to vote for sheriff.  They will be notified by mail that they are official delegates.
