Donald 'Donny' Caldwell
WAYNESVILLE — Donald “Donny” Caldwell, 56, of Topview Drive, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at his residence.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret Vanhook Caldwell. He was employed at Dayco for 12 years and was a member of Balsam Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.
He is survived by his son, Justin Caldwell and his wife, Ashley, of Balsam; a sister, Carol Hannah and her husband, Morris, of the Crabtree community; a brother, Raymond Caldwell Jr. and his wife, Lissa, of Waynesville; one granddaughter, Abigail Caldwell; and Justin’s mother, Michelle Pitts and her husband, David, of Canton.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Swanger officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
