Loving Sister

CLYDE —Ms. Doris Ann Chambers, 76, of Clyde, passed away Oct. 27, 2012, at Mission Hospital. She was born in Haywood County to the late Hugh John and Edna Messer Rathbone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy, J.B. and Howell; an infant sister, Eva; and sister, Geraldine.

Survivors include her two sisters, Edith Russell, of Clyde, Ruth Lynch, and her husband, Bill, of Canton; several nieces and nephews; and her caregiver and companion of 42 years, Raymond Langston. She worked at Dayco before retiring from the credit department at Heilig Meyers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Panther Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Ronald Greene will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 ...
