Loving Mother

WAYNESVILLE —  Doris B. Davis of Catawba County, formerly of Haywood County,went home to be with the Lord July 5, 2012, at Hospice of Catawba Valley, in Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Gertrude Burgess; her first husband Brown W. Ross; her late husband, Charles W. Davis; her step-granddaughter, Audra W. Davis; and step-son, Charles F. Davis.

She is survived by her siblings, Rosa Lee (Jim) Warren, Norma (David) Schulhofer, and Norman (Peggy) Burgess Jr.; her children, Glenda (Van) Smith of Newton; Randy (Martha) Ross of Newton; Gary Ross and Alan Ross, of Maiden; her step-children, Shirley Davis, of Sumter, South Carolina; Nancy (Larry) Florence, of Sumter, South Carolina; Ed (Patsy) Davis, of Waynesville; nine grandchildren; 11 ...
