Beloved Sister, Aunt

WAYNESVILLE —  Dorothy Case Allison, 97, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at the Brian Center of Waynesville.

She was a native of Henderson County and the daughter of the late Carl Long and Rosa Elizabeth Stepp Case.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Allison; a sister, Mildred Lindsey; and a brother, Hulin Case.  She retired from Hepzibah Children’s Group Home with 24 years of service, where she was housemother to around 60 girls.  Dorothy was a member of Clyde Wesleyan Church and was a foster grandparent at St. John’s School until she turned 88.

She is survived by a sister, Sue Smith, and her husband, Edward, of Clyde; three nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
