WINSTON SALEM — Calvin “Doug” Earley, 64, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013.
A native of Haywood County where he resided most of his life, he was the son of the late Wade and Geraldine Earley. He was part of Pisgah High School’s first graduating class in 1967. He was a deputy sheriff for Haywood County and also worked for Champion security. He was a U. S. Army veteran. Doug was an avid sports fan and his favorite team the Tennessee Volunteers. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived in death by his sister, Marta Riddle, and her husband Jerry, of Canton; mother of his children, Debbie Earley, of Buford, Georgia; one daughter, Cassie Crumpton and her husband, Matt, of Wilmington; one son Heath Earley, and his wife, Amari, of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Caden Earley; and two step-grandsons, Nate and Jacob Brown.
