WAYNESVILLE — Doyle Eugene Muse, 78, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at Universal Health Care in Fletcher.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Fonslow and Helen Chambers Muse. Doyle was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Dayco with 36 years of service in Quality Assurance. He enjoyed fishing, reading and learning about local history and collecting and trading old tools. He was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Caroline Cody Muse; a son, Cody Muse and his wife, Theresa, of Fletcher; a sister, Doris Ann Muse of Waynesville; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Muse.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at Allens Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Deitz ...
