Loving Husband, Daddy and Papaw

CLYDE — E. C. “Junior” Beck, Jr., 77, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 22, at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Ephraim Clingman and Mary Lee Parker Beck. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mayburr Beck, Annie Lou James, Rena Ann Mehaffey, and Georgia Gillett.  Junior grew up in Silvers Cove.  He was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church.  He assisted in building the Pioneer Village in Maggie Valley and was also featured in the “Log Cabin” magazine along with building many other homes.
