East has been a financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors for 10-plus years and has 10-plus years experience in the brokerage industry.  He has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech and a Certified Financial Planner ™ certificate from Western Carolina University.

East lives in Lake Junaluska with his wife, Nancy, and their three children. He is a board member of the Waynesville Rotary Club, Cub Scout Den Leader, AYSO Soccer Coach and actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce.
