Stations of the Cross April 16

Passover meal at Long’s Chapel April 16

Long’s Chapel UMC will be holding a Seder/Passover meal at 6:30 p.m. April 16 at the church located at 175 Old Clyde Rd., Lake Junaluska. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the church office.  Call 828-456-3993 for more information.

Easter drama at Crestview Baptist

Easter egg hunt April 19

Lakeview Church of the Nazarene will host an Easter egg hunt from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at 24 Nazarene Way, Waynesville. The hunt is for children ages 2 to 12. Over 1,000 eggs will be hidden.

Pizza will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. This event is free and will include games, prizes and gifts.

Easter egg hunt April 19

The Waynesville Elk Lodge will hold a party and Easter egg hunt from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at 510 Dellwood Road, Waynesville.

The party begins at 11:30 a.m. and the hunt begins at 1 p.m. This event is for children ages 10 and under. The Easter Bunny will be there.

Town of Canton Easter Egg Hunt

The Town of Canton and the Canton Police Department are teaming up again to sponsor the annual Easter egg hunt to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Canton Recreation Park for kids ages 1 to 12. When the starting whistle blows, children make a mad dash to collect candy strewn across the lawn in eggs. For some lucky ones, a number will be attached to their egg, which means they will win a prize, which could be a bicycle. The Easter Bunny will also be on hand to greet children, pass out treats and pose for pictures.


Easter Egg Hunt at Smoky Mountain Sk8way

Smoky Mountain Sk8way will host an Easter egg hunt and other activities from 2 to 5 p.m. April 19. For more information, call 246-9124.


Friends of the Lake 5K

Friends of the Lake 5k will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K Family Walk and Children’s Fun Run. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and is required for the races.


Lake Junaluska Easter activities April 19

Indoor children’s activities, including an egg-decorating contest, face painting, yo yo balloons, and more begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Harrell Center Auditorium. Prizes will be awarded for the egg-decorating contest. The Easter egg hunts will take place near Stuart Auditorium beginning at 11 a.m. Children ages 1 – 12 are welcome to participate.
