Easter recipe: Carrot cake magic bars
Carrot Cake Magic Bars

Yield: 15 squares
1 Carrot Cake Mix (15.25 oz.)1 stick of butter, softened1 egg1 teaspoon vanilla1/2 cup pineapple preserves1/2 cup chopped walnuts1 cup shredded coconut1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.) 1 cup Carrot Cake M&M's
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until a soft dough forms. Press the dough into the bottom of a 9x13 pan that has been sprayed with non stick spray.
- Spread the pineapple preserves over the dough. Sprinkle with the walnuts and coconut. Spread the condensed milk over the top. Sprinkle with the M&M's. Bake at 350* for 35 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting into 15 large squares or 60 bite sized squares.
If you can't find the carrot cake M&M's, you could substitute white chocolate chips.
