Edith A. Moore
ASHEVILLE — Edith Aline Haynes Moore, 88, of 20 Hummingbird Lane, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1989 as a CNA from Memorial Mission Hospital, following more than 30 years of service.
Mrs. Moore was a 1943 graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moore the daughter of the late Rev. James Francis Haynes and Lestie Mae Williams Haynes and was the wife of 62 years of the late Calvin H. Moore.
Surviving are her daughters, Janice Inman, and husband, Doran, of Clyde, Joyce Conner, of Asheville, and Jeanette Myers, and husband, Roger, of Gastonia; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Victory Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
