WAYNESVILLE — Edward “Ed” Grady Justice, 78, passed away on June 14, 2013, at The Homestead. Ed was born on March 1, 1935, to the late Charley and Leona Webb Justice. He enjoyed growing a garden, woodworking, sitting on the porch, but most of all visiting with his family.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by brothers, William, CJ, Charley, Ray, and Dean Justice, and his sister, Sara Plemmons.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years Eleanor James Justice; one son, Roger (Brenda); two daughters, Cindy Warren (Sam) and Pam Kervin (Mike); grandchildren, Callie Rogers (Luke), Will and Emily Warren, Jessica Kervin, and Caleb Justice; brother, James Justice; and sister Dortha Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Garrett Funerals and Cremations with the Reverend John Swanger, III, and the Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Homestead Hospice at 127 Sunset Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
The family would like to offer a word of thanks to all family and friends for all of their prayers and support. They would also like to thank the caring nurses and staff at The Homestead.
