WAYNESVILLE — Mr. Elmer Richard “Dick” Silvers Sr., 77, of Waynesville, went to be with his Lord on Dec. 9, 2012 at MedWest Haywood Hospital. He was born in Haywood County to the late Norman and Velma Phillips Silvers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother James; and sisters Sally Peebles and Sue Huskins. Mr. Silvers was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Nell Silvers; sons Pete Silvers, Dewayne Silvers and his wife Donna; daughter Pat Wyatt and her husband Phillip; sister Nell Inman all of Waynesville; grandchildren Adam Silvers, Colby Silvers, Danielle Silvers, Kayleigh Silvers, Mandy Allen and her husband Brandon, Morgan Trull and her husband ...
