Loving Mother

WAYNESVILLE — Mrs. Evelyn M. Rogers, 89, of Waynesville, passed away Dec. 4, 2012, at Autumn Care Nursing. She was born in Haywood County to the late Zeb and Elizabeth Moody.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father’s second wife, Cornie; her husband, Max Q. Rogers; a brother, Carl Moody and a sister, Cecelia Ricci. Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed making a home for her children and grandchildren. She was an expert quilter, loved to garden, especially picking black berries, she enjoyed her cats, and her special friend “Rowdy."  Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church Waynesville.
