The Haywood County Public Library will continue its Mountain Artisan Series with an expressive arts journaling workshop, which will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Waynesville Branch Library, 678 S. Haywood St., Waynesville.
The workshop is for anyone interested in the expressive arts — writers, singers, songwriters, dancers, photographers and etc. Come and view examples of journals, such as written works, idea books, artist reflection books and more.
This hour-long workshop will introduce participants to their passport to definition, fluidity and cohesiveness as an expressive artist. It will be inclusive of all persons at any stage of the development of their art.
Betina Morgan, local artist and musician, will lead the workshop. It will include an instructional talk as well as a free journal.
Registration is required. Call 356-2507 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Mountain Artisan Series offers quarterly programming. Each program features different local artisans, who discuss their craft and offer demonstrations of their work, when possible.
The mountain region has a rich craft heritage, and this series showcases both local artists and their craft in programs that will highlight how they produce their artwork.
