A field photography program will begin 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the Old Armory Receation Center, 44 Boundary St., Waynesville. Group leader Bob Grytten will be there by 5 p.m.for the first session, for those who may have individual questions about equipment or other issues.

The participants will also meet on four consecutive Wednesday mornings at 8 a.m. to carpool to special venues for photography in a natural setting around Western North Carolina

“We look forward to sharing some of the best techniques from many top photographers around the country, and have fun at the same time,” said Grytten, who has received many awards and been published in many national magazines. “This is a prime time to be in the field as this area offers many outstanding opportunities. Besides wildflowers we’ll be shooting waterfalls, spring green vistas, and wildlife.”

Wednesday field shoots are $40 each; Tuesday classroom meetings are $10 each, with a special 20 percent discount for those who sign up for all seven sessions. Affiliate Partners Think Tank Photo Bags and MindShift Gear will provide some nice accessories for participants as well as membership to Lens Lugger World.

For more information or to register, call Grytten at 627-0245 or bobgry@aol.com.
