Sunday, Sept. 30 at 4:00 pm. at the gym of the Fines Creek Community Center, neighbors, alumni and dignitaries will gather to dedicate the Dead Man in the Creek Quilt Square.  The 8ft. plywood square was custom designed to represent the story of how Fines Creek got its name.  It is an important square on the Haywood Quilt Trail as it leads visitors  into the northern part of the county.  Music and free popcorn will help celebrate the installation of the quilt square on the historic gymnasium wall.  Join us and learn the story of the Dead Man in the Creek.
